65 Ford

Found this image on a blog with very little details about the car. Something about New Revell vintage stock cars. The chassis will be an adjustable sidewinder chassis that will be used under both cars. And the chassis will be used in future cars as well. No exact release date yet, just later this year maybe November or December as far as I've been told. original location

1971 Plymouth

The picture send by Bud Bussiere brought back some memories to teammate Dick Pierson. Along with this picture of the car from Dick's private collection, here is what he remebers about it Hershel bought the car from Richard at Daytona and ran the Winston West Series for a couple of years. He tied the all time win record with that car for Winston West, he and Parnelli Jones have 11 wins in a row. Hershel was actually leading in the 12th but was pushed into the wall in San Jose California by another car and had to park. Hershel then he sold it to a local guy named Don Selley and bought the 1971 Plymouth that Chuck Shafer rebuilt into the Petty car. original location

1959 Holman-Moody Thunderbird NASCAR

This was my uncle. This car was campaigned in the first Daytona 500 race in 1959. The #64 Holman-Moody Thunderbird was the car driven by Fritz Wilson who finished in 56th place with a blown piston. He actually only made 15 laps before leaving the race. The car that finished in 2nd place was driven by Johnny Beauchamp in the #73 car. In a photo finish #73 was initially declared the winner. The #64 car still exists and can be found in Mark Martins Klassix Car museum in Daytona Beach , FL.
